Good morning fellow crafters and blog readers! How are you doing? How is your week going so far? Mine is going okay, been a little down lately so I decided that I needed some me time doing what I love, finished my first christmas wreath last night and I just love it! I love love love all the blue and the little snowflakes, I don't think I can part with this wreath!
I started off using some 12 x 12 pattern paper from both All Seasons and All Seasons II Paper packs from the Paper studio. The wreath base is from Dollar Tree and is 18" round. I covered the wreath base in white ribbon. To make all the rosettes, I first scored each sheet at every 1/4", then I cut each sheet of paper with two strips each at 2½", 2", and 1½". I adhered each same size strip together, then accordion folded and hot glued together. I ended up with 18 rosettes, 3 different sizes. I glued the smallest rosette on to the largest rosette to add some dimension. Then I started gluing onto the wreath base! I really love how these wreaths come out, and they are so fun to make! I am listing this in my etsy shop today and will have 3 more wreaths in different colors up by Sunday.
I also recently made this Advent Calendar box. I purchased the box at Hobby Lobby, found it in the Make It Christmas! Crafts section! I painted the outside of the box white and then painted over with a gloss polymer clay glaze. I then used some pattern paper that I found at the Target dollar spot last year and adhered it to each box with Mod Podge. I added some images from Papertrey Ink Tiny Treats Christmas stamp set. I cut out the numbers on my cricut, adhered with more Mod Podge, added some glitter, and Voila! Advent Calendar box! I love it, the girls can't wait to fill one of these with treats for Christmas!
My favorite time of every year is the ending months, I love Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. If I don't get a chance to post again before turkey day, I wish everyone and their families a Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!
