The Paper Variety: Challenge 3

I love doing these challenges! It gives me an excuse to break out all my supplies and get creative while the girls at the Paper Variety come up with different ideas and themes for us to try! I made this layout a while back featuring my younger daughter's first roll-over! I also submitted this same layout to the Inkadinkadoo Contest that is going on over at ScrapbooksEtc! The voting for that one starts October 1st, I am so excited!

Anywho, this one is another 2page layout. I love the layered look of the different kinds of pattern paper! I used some basic gray cardstock. The ledger paper is from My Mind's Eye Home 54 sheet Glitter Book, and the different pattern papers are all from My Mind's Eye also, there is no name on the pack, it just comes with 180 sheets of designer paper. I love the vintage look of some of these sheets! I used a butterfly punch from the Martha Stewart collection, and some white glitter thickers! The background is stamped with Inkadinkadoo's Flourish stamp set and I added some crystal rhinestones and brads! I love how all the colors come together, and I just love the butterflies!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope I win!

The Paper Variety: Challenge 2

The Paper Variety is hosting their 2nd week challenge! I am going to try and do every challenge that they put up! I love this challenge because the theme is Autumn! I love autumn, and the transition into all the upcoming holidays! I love holidays, lol!

So here is my layout. I like to create 2page layouts as often as possible. It is always hard to decide which scrapbook to put them into though! I have one for myself, and one each for my girls, I can never decide who's book to put it in, does anyone else have this problem?!

Anywho, here is my submission for the Week 2 Challenge:

I found a few fall paper packs at the Target Dollar spot this weekend, and they had some awesome halloween ones too! Each pack usually comes with 4 to 8 sheets of paper, and there are foil and glitter sheets, and they are just so cute! I cannot take credit for the design of this layout, it is the same one that they feature on the paper pack as an example, but I just loved the way they incorporated all the papers, so I decided to use the same! I did use different placement of my photos, added some ribbon to the bottom. I just love those Leaf border papers! I like the simplicity of the layout, so I did not want to use too many embellishments! We usually have pumpkins for both October and November, and these pictures were from November 2009, so the title fits well. Plus, it is one of my all time favorite movies.

Thanks for stopping by!

Minnie/Mickey B-Day Card

Hello fellow crafters! I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I hate how fast time seems to be flying by! My weekend has come and gone!

Been doing tons of crafting lately! I love being able to use my mornings during the week to get some crafting done while the girls are at school. I have had to move some of my crafting supplies into my living room because it now looks like a tornado flew through my craft room! Owell, will get cleaned up eventually!

I am looking for a local craft fair to join, so I have been making tons of halloween crafts, lots of treats and cards, in addition to a few other things that I would like to sell. I hope I find a good craft fair in time before the holidays really start! I will post tons of pictures as soon as I am done putting everything together.

I made a birthday card for a friend at work. She asked me to make one for a 3 year old who is having a birthday party today. I used the same stamps and idea from my Minnie Mouse invitations that I made here for my niece a while back. I still had some supplies left over, and I love the way it came out. I stamped different images of Minnie and Mickey and couldn't decide which to use, so I used all 3! I used the smaller image of Mickey and Minnie together for the envelope.

Have a great week, thanks for stopping by!
