More Halloween Projects!

Good morning fellow crafters! I am so happy to be going in to work late today, yesterday morning was extremely busy and stressful, I really needed a little "me time". So while the kids are now at school and the hubby is at work, I decided to finish up some Halloween projects that I started when I was waiting for my Papertrey Ink order this month. (By the way, today is Sneak Peek Day 1 of September release at Papertrey Ink, check out Nichole's blog, they are releasing Christmas stamps this month!)


I am entering this project again into the Mr. Bones Halloween Spook Out over on Nichole's blog.

If you've been following me for a while, you may have seen all the Halloween projects here and here that I created in 2010 for my very first craft fair. I did the same craft fair again last year, but was disappointed in the outcome. We are saving up extra money for our Disneyland Vacation in December (I can't wait!) so I decided to do the craft fair one more time. I've been preparing lots of Halloween Cards and Favors over the last few months to make sure this year I have a great variety of things to sell.

So today I am showing you the M&M candy sticks that I am preparing. This is the first time that I have made these for Halloween. I went with a Candy corn theme because that is all I could find of the M&M's so far!











I purchase my 1x8 clear candy bags from Clearbagsrus on Etsy. They provide fast shipping and good prices. These M&M's are white chocolate and are a little bigger than regular M&M candies, but I was able to fit 15 in each bag. I used the candy corn image from Tiny Treats Halloween as well as the Limitless Layers 1¾" circle die collection. These are super easy to put together, and it takes no time at all. I bought 2 bags of candy at Walmart for $2.88 each, and was able to fill up 20 bags.

Right now I am finishing up a Halloween wreath using the Mr. Bones stamp set, I can't wait to show you how it turns out! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

PTI Mr. bones Halloween Spook Out #4

Happy Monday fellow crafters! Guess what I did this morning?! I slept in! And it felt great at the time, but now that I am up I feel like time is going by a little bit faster! Boo :(

Well here is my 4th entry for this weeks' Mr. Bones Halloween Spook Out over at Nichole Heady's blog.











For this little card set, I used the same Stampin' Up Color cardstock as in my previous post, and I used the Spider Web trio die set to slightly "emboss" my white cardstock without actually cutting out the web. This took a little bit of practice, but I finally managed by using just one cutting plate and the Sizzix crease pad for my big shot. Then I added the cute spider from Tremendous Treats Halloween and the sentiment is from Mr. Bones Stamp set. I believe Maile Belles also created a card where she used this technique as well.

That's it, super simple. I think this might be super cute as some Halloween invitations, I might need to whip up a few more! The girls and I are going to go visit my sister and nieces and then we are off to the grocery store. Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

PTI Mr. Bones Halloween Spook Out

Good evening fellow crafters, I hope you are all having a great, wonderful Labor Day weekend! I am thoroughly enjoying the few days off that I have here at home with my family. I am super excited to see all the projects being entered into the Mr. Bones Halloween Spook Out blog hop over at Nichole's blog! I plan on adding several projects over the next few days, mainly because I love Halloween and I am so excited to continue using my new stamp sets from this month's PTI release! Here is my 3rd project for this fun little blog challenge:













I used the Mr. Bones and Tremendous Treats Halloween stamp sets for this little card set. I just love Mr. Bones, he is too adorable! I used some Halloween patterned paper from another All Seasons paper pack, as well as Stampin' Up cardstock in my favorite Halloween colors: Elegant eggplant, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Black. I used the top note die and embossed that with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. I stamped and cut out the Halloween treat bag and then adhered it all together.

PTI Make it Monday #80 Entry #2 and Mr. Bones Halloween Spook!

Good morning fellow crafters! So if you read my last post, you may have seen that I was supposed to be spending this morning cleaning up my craft room. Well, I started to clean, and then I got bored, and decided to submit another entry for this weeks Make it Monday challenge over at Nichole's Blog instead! I wanted to make another card set using the Mr. Bones Stamp set and matching spider die, along with the Spider Web Trio die set.









I layered scalloped strips in 3 colors together with some patterned paper from Recollections All Season paper pack. I used the medium spider web die cut on all 4 cards and die cut the spider 24 times: 12 to stamp on and 12 to layer onto the twine the same way Ashley does in this week's video tutorial. I added the sentiments to a scallop square punch and then adhered everything together. The spiders are glued onto some black twine and then popped up onto the card with dimensionals.

I am having a blast with the new Halloween sets from Papertrey Ink. I haven't had a chance to use the Tremendous Treats Halloween set yet, but I have the day off tomorrow and plan on making come candy wrapper boxes with them, so stay tuned! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

PTI Make It Monday #80

Good evening fellow crafters! It is nearly midnight here and I am just about falling asleep here in my craft room, but I wanted to go ahead and share my card for this weeks' Make it Monday challenge over at Nichole's blog.

This week the challenge is hosted by Ashley Cannon-Newell and the challenge is to incorporate die cuts into a banner. I say a banner card last month on YouTube by Kristina Werner and I just loved her card, so I decided to re-create it for this challenge.



It is a standard A2 size card made from my favorite, Kraft cardstock!







I used Papertrey Ink's Heart-2-Heart stamp sets #3, #5, and #6, as well as the coordinating heart die for set #3. I used Stampin' Up inkpads in Lovely Lilac, Pink Passion, Yoyo yellow, and Green Galore to stamp the hearts. I used Only Orange for the sun and Tempting Turquoise for the clouds. I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede. I used some brown/white Martha Stewart twine, and added some dash lines around the card with a white gel pen. I glued the hearts to the twine the way Ashley does in the video tutorial, then propped them up onto my card base with dimensionals. I love all these colors together, they make the card bright and cheery!

The girls are back to school this week, and we are slowly getting back into our daily routines. No more sleeping in here, which is probably why I am so tired. I love back to school time because that means I can go back to regular morning work schedules, and be home more in the evening. I do still work late on Wednesdays, which means I have a good 5-6 hours to myself tomorrow morning! I have to admit, I cannot wait for some quiet, "me" time, even if I will be spending that time cleaning up this mess:

PTI August Blog Hop

Good morning fellow crafters, Happy Saturday! I hope you all are having a great weekend so far. The hubby is in the kitchen making breakfast, to which I would normally intervene and take over, and he happily takes a seat on the couch. However, I decided to post my card for this month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!







I made a folded card for this project, using Kraft cardstock and patterned paper from a Thanksgiving pack I found at the Dollar Spot last year, and to be honest I don't remember where the digi stamp is from, but it is adorable! I used Papertrey Ink's Limitless layers circle die set and the sentiment inside is from Inkadinkado's Harvest Expressions Stamp set.

Halloween Card Sets

Good afternoon fellow crafters, hope you are having a very wonderful Thursday! I very anxiously have walked to my mailbox the last few days in hopes that my Papertrey Ink order for this month had arrived. Well after several day of disappointment, my order finally arrived today and let me tell you, it was well worth the wait!

I was so excited for this month's release over at Papertrey Ink because I knew it was about time for some new Halloween and Fall stamp sets! I was thrilled when Nichole announced the release of the Tremendous Treats: Halloween stamp set. I ordered the stamp set along with the Happy Haunting and Mr. Bones stamp and matching die sets. These products are too freakin' adorable!

I knew I wanted to Mr. Bones stamp set as soon as I saw Betsy Veldman's card here with the "peeking windows". So with her card in my mind, I immediately set out to create my own.

Using Stampin' Up cardstock in Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, and Pumpkin pie, I created 6 card bases, 3 in each color. I used Kraft cardstock and Stampin' Ups scallop square punch to create the windows for my little skeletons. I die cut and stamped 18 skeletons, then started set up all my cards. I used Halloween Patterned paper from Recollections All Seasons paper packs in back of the skeletons. I also ordered the Spider Web trio die set, and using the smallest spider web, I die cut 6 of those and put them inside the cards, along with the cute spider from the Mr. Bones stamp set. I made 2 sets of 3 cards, both with different phrases from the Mr. Bones set.











I am in love with all of these sets and I cannot wait to make more cards, tags, and favors with them for my upcoming Halloween Craft show at a local mall. Hope you are all having fun with your new goodies as well! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

PTI Make It Monday #79

Good afternoon fellow crafters, hope you are all having a wonderful Monday! I go into work late today so I decided to go ahead and get started on this week's Make it Monday Challenge here on Nicholes' Blog.

This week the challenge is fabric die cuts. I don't have a lot of fabric here in my craft room, but I was able to find some fabric pieces from a K&Company Fabric Art pack. The inspiration from this card comes from Kristina Werner.




I had a loose 12x12 sheet of cardstock paper that I found, not sure what company it is from, and I made that as the card base into a 5½" square card. I used Kraft cardstock and added some white dash lines. The 1" circles on the bottom of the Kraft cardstock were cut from the Recollections Garden Florals paper pad. The inside of the card reads "You're all these things and more". Both sentiments are from the Papertrey Ink stamp Set for the Movers and Shakers series. I added some white Grosgrain ribbon on the bottom of the card to finish it off.

Christmas Tags

Good morning fellow crafters, Happy Friday! I am so excited it is Friday. I usually work on Saturdays but I decided to take this weekend off to do some Tax free shopping for back to school with the family instead. I can't wait to get in some family time!

I wanted to share a quick post of these cute Christmas tags I put together yesterday using Papertrey Ink's Tremendous Treats: Christmas stamp set. I also used their Limitless layers 2½" circle die collection. I stamped each penguin and snowman in black pigment ink, then clear embossed them and used my Prismacolor markers to color them in. I added some glitter to the snowman and some rhinestones to each banner die cut, then put them all together. I cut out the images and used dimensionals to prop them up.






I have some more tags in red and green using the whole set, will post those later on today. Have a great day everyone, I'm headed off to work!

PTI Make It Monday #78

Good afternoon fellow crafters, how are you all doing? I am doing great, I literally have to be at work in 30 minutes, but I wanted to post up my entry for this weeks Make it Monday challenge here over at Papertrey Ink.

This week the video is by Heather Nichols, and the challenge is stamping and stitching. I always see Kristina Werner stitching on her projects, and I got the idea for my card from her blog. She always has great videos and tutorials!

I've been working on Halloween and Christmas cards the last few weeks, so I decided to go ahead and make a Christmas card for this challenge using the Tremendous Treats: Christmas stamp set along with the Limitless Layers Circle die set. I stamped the image and sentiment with Pigment Black ink and clear embossed both. I added some glitter to the little snowman and then cut him out. I adhered him to the card with dimensionals. The patterned paper is from the All Seasons Cardstock paper stack from Recollections. I wanted something a little thicker than thread to do my stitching, so I used white Crochet thread from Red Heart.






I cannot wait to make a set of this same card using all the images from the Tremendous Treats Christmas stamp set. Now that they are bigger images, they are so much easier to color them and cut them out for projects! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
