The Paper Variety: Challenge 7

I am sooo excited that it is Friday! I received several packages this week in the mail with lots of goodies, I cannot wait to get started on christmas goodies! I have to admit that I am definitely all halloween-ed out!

This weeks challenge over at the Paper Variety was definitely a challenge! I wasn't even sure what to create! I didn't know if I wanted to make a scrapbook page or a card, or maybe some kind of altered paper project...But everytime I came up with an idea, I ended up not liking it and starting over! So I was going through my scrapbook pages and I found this page here! This picture was taken at the Renaissance Fair last year in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It was a perfect, cloudy day, and I absolutely love this picture of the girls and my life partner :)

Pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye and the glittery accents are from K&Company. I used sand paper to circle around the photo. I love the look sandpaper leaves behind once you scratch it on a photo. Just wear a face mask though, you don't want to breathe in the stuff the photo leaves behind (yeck).

Anywho, thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!

Craft Fair/The Paper Variety: Challenge 6

*****EDIT: 2-5-11 PaperTrey Ink's ULTIMATE CARD KIT Giveaway! My favorite release of 2010 was the Tiny Treats Halloween Stamp Set. I had so much fun creating things with this set, I love it so much!!!!!!!!! Below are some of the things I created with this stamp set for Halloween 2010. Thanks for stopping by!!!!!!***********

It is Week 6 for the Paper Variety challenges. I love this weeks challenge! How convenient that I already have some things made from my recent craft show experience?! I had a lot of fun making all these items, even though I got almost zero sleep haha. I guess we all make sacrifices right?

If you read my post below, then you know that I recently attended and participated in my first arts and crafts show. I can't wait for the next one! These are the things I made for all my Halloween Goodies!

These are felt Halloween Treat Buckets. Each bucket cost $1 at the Target dollar spot, and I filled them with candy and Halloween Trinkets.

These are tin Halloween Treat Buckets. Also $1 per bucket at the Target Dollar Spot.

This is the Pumpkin Poop!

These are Halloween Candy Canes with Gummie Treats

Lollipop holders

Skeleton Lollipops, I love these, I found them at the Dollar Tree!

These are simple Halloween Pouches

For Challenge 6, I am submitting my Twizzler and Pixie Stix Pouches. I got the tutorial for these pouches here but I changed them up a bit. Super easy to make! One 12x12 scrapbook page made 4 pouches, I cut my sheets 6x6 and scored them the same way Dawn did. The red line tape still did not work too well. The treats kept sliding through the bottom of the pouches! So for the Pixie Stix pouch, I sewed the bottoms and for the Twizzler pouches I just stapled the bottoms and covered the staples with ribbon. I liked the sewing better, so next time I will stick with that! Thanks for the tutorial Dawn!

Thanks for stopping by, if you have any questions just let me know, bye!

First Arts and Crafts Fair

Hello everyone! Can you believe that half the week is already gone?! As my older daughter said just the other day, "I think the days are getting shorter". I am astonished at how fast this year has flown by.

I love love love holidays. I had so much fun creating things for Halloween this year. I absolutely adore PaperTrey Inks Tiny Treats: Halloween set! I made tons of things with it, it is such a cute set! I have been trying to purchase the TinyTreats Christmas set since it came out on the 15th, but right now it still says unavailable! :(

Anywho, I participated in my first Arts and Crafts fair on the 15th, 16th, and 17th at one of our local malls. I have to say that I had a lot of fun. We meet some lovely people and I sold a good amount of products! I sold my Halloween crafts as well as some handmade jewelry. The next event is November 5th, 6th, and 7th, which is not too far away so I am trying to get ready for christmas ASAP. I am hoping the Christmas set is available soon because I really want it!

My tables were set up right in front of the movie theater, perfect for selling candy! I requested the same spot for the next craft fair! Here is everything that I had for this craft show:

I have soooooooooooooo many ideas floating around in my head for the next show, I can't wait to get started! I ordered a Big Shot just so that I can make some great cards! I have been wanting one for a longgggg time and I got to play around with one at a Holiday Stamp Camp here a few weeks ago, and I decided it was about time I spoiled myself a little and got one! So as a birthday gift to myself, I ordered it off Overstock.com, great price and only $1.00 shipping! Should be coming in the next few days!!!!!!!!!!

I have decided not to list the dimensions of the products and all the specifics because there was so many, but if you want to know anything about the things I made, just let me know!

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon!

The Paper Variety: Challenge 4

Woohoo, another one! I am so excited to do this challenge! Challenge Number 4 from the Paper Variety was to do a "scraplift" challenge from one of the design team members. I chose to go with Shawn's Design and Layout idea! I have to agree that I absolutely loooovveee 2 page layouts, I feel like I can show more phots also and tell more of a story!

This is my 2 page LO of my older daughers Desiree's first day of school. We tried to put her into kindergarten when she was 4, but the school would not let us! So when she turned 5, she was more than ready to start her journey into education! My favorite photo is the one I shot of her first walking into the school. I will never forget her confidence and excitement, and I can only hope she will carry that with her throughout the rest of her school years!

This was a fairly simple layout, I used pattern paper from the Making the Grade paper stack as well as various school-related stickers. I had fun making this one, but it sure brings back a lot of memories and sadness from that first day :( Anywho, thanks for stopping by!
