Papertrey Ink October Blog Hog

Good morning fellow crafters! Happy Friday! I hope you have all had a fantastic week and are ready for the weekend! I know I definitely am! The last few weeks have been a busy blur, heck, the last month has just disappeared! Halloween is already next week! There is only 5 weeks until Thanksgiving and 9 weeks until Christmas, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!

Last Friday, the kids school had their Fall Carnival and they allowed a few vendors to set up a table to sell their handmade items. The fair only lasted 2 hours but I am glad that I did it, it was a lot of fun! I made a few goodies along with some handmade cards. My mom and my girls helped me out which was great, the turnout was awesome and we sold a lot. I love doing the little craft fairs like this because we end up making more profit that we do if we were to go to a craft fair at the mall or somewhere else bigger. Before I show you pictures of the fair from last week, I wanted to share with you the Christmas Tags I made for this months Blog Hop over for Papertrey Ink. There are already sooo many wonderful tags posted up, I love all the ideas everyone came up with. Tags are such a great project, they are easy to create and add a wonderful touch to gifts and homemade goodies. I made my tags with Kraft cardstock, and embossed the background with the Hero Arts Snowflakes and Edges Cling Stamp. I used Stampin' Up's Real Red and Old Olive Cardstock and Ink, along with Papertrey Ink's 2013 Holiday Tags Stamp Set. I love this stamp set! I made 8 tags, one for each of the images included in the set.

I can't wait to make more tags and possibly cards using this stamp set, especially using different, more non-traditional colors like Dawn McVey did in the release earlier this month!

As promised, here are some photos from the fair. This was our table, and of course my little helpers. They did a great job helping out all the "customers" look at all the goodies and helped pass out candy.

I made Teacher Cards, as well as a few Birthday and Thank You cards. I also had some Halloween, Fall, and Christmas Cards. We made bookmarks and pencil kits as well. You can also see we made some bracelets and earrings.

Here are M&M Candy Sticks made using White Chocolate Candy Corn M&M's. To make the tags, I used PTI Trick or Treat Stamp set and the candy corn image from Tremendous Treats: Halloween stamp set. There is also the Hershey's Nugget Chocolate packs which each hold 4 kinds of Hershey's Nuggets. I find these sell a lot better than the Hershey Nugget Tins. I made the tags for these from the Nuts for You stamp set and the Mr. Bones Stamp set.

Aren't these Hand Sanitizer holders adorable? I followed Just Julie B's tutorial here on how to make these and added a few of my own special touches to these. I can't wait to make these for Christmas as little gifts!

These Pumpkin Poop treats were a huge hit and we sold old fast. I wish I had made more! The Pumpkin from the Polka Dot Parade #8 stamp set was a perfect little addition to this popular poem!

These didn't sell too well, maybe since the kids were already getting free candy everywhere else at the fair, but I did sell a few. I made these using Stampin' Up's Top Note die, along with their Batty for You Stamp set. I used the PTI Trick or Treat Stamp set again for the sentiment.

Halloween Kraft Treat Bags

Good Morning fellow crafters, I hope you are enjoying the very first day of FALL! I love the fall, it signals the start of the best holidays of the year! I am trying to get back into my posting more often, I haven't posted very many projects at all this year! I finally started working on my Halloween projects! The girls' school has a Fall carnival every year and they allow craft vendors, so I really need to start making some items to put up for sale that teachers and kids would love to pick up! I made these cute little Kraft Halloween Treat bags.

I ordered the Kraft bags from sweetideasbyjanet on Etsy a few months ago and have been dying to try them out! I used mainly Papertrey Ink products to put these together! I used their Mr. Bones Stamp and die set along with the Spider from the Tremendous Treats: Halloween Stamp Set. I also used the medium-sized spider web from their Spider Web die collection. The "trick or treat" is from the Tremendous treats set and is stamped on their banner die.

I can't wait to make different versions of these little bags, they come together so quickly and are just too cute! Not too many people work on Halloween projects, but I just love seeing what other people come up with. I've never actually sent out a Halloween card to anyone, but I do make a few card sets to put up for sale, along with some tag sets as well! Halloween Pillow Boxes

Good morning fellow crafters! Happy Wednesday! This is "my" day of the week where I have the entire morning to myself before heading off to a late work day. I use Wednesday to catch up on projects or new orders for my Etsy Shop, and I can do it completely without interruption! Isn't that just the best? (Not that I don't love having the family around, but hey, we all need a little "me" time!)

I have wanted to purchase a Pillow Box die for some time now, but I wasn't sure exactly who to purchase it from, so when Papertrey Ink announced this month that they were releasing one, I was ecstatic! I received it in the mail on Monday and I decided to make a set of 10 for Halloween.












I used Kraft, Basic Black, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Elegant eggplant cardstock for these boxes. I used Halloween patterned paper from the Target dollar spot from last year. I used the Limitless Layers Oval die collection with Kraft and cream cardstock. I stamped the "Happy Halloween" in basic black ink. The sentiment is from Hero Arts #CL498. There is no name on the stamp set, but it has a ton of Holiday sentiments!

I love that these little pillow boxes are the perfect size to hold a gift card, I cannot wait to make a ton of these for Christmas! Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Lollipop Holders

Good evening fellow crafters! I hope that you all have had a fantastic weekend! My dad came into town last night from San Antonio, so he was here tonight with his girlfriend. The girls and their cousins got to spend a few hours with them, they already head back home tomorrow :( We don't see my dad very often, so I was surprised at how upset my youngest one was when he left, she was crying. We have not yet had the chance to visit him in San Antonio, but I hope we get that chance soon!

Today I am sharing with you another Halloween favor set I put together. When I saw this stamp and Die-namics set from My Favorite Things, I just knew I had to have it. Whoever came up with this idea is brilliant, it is so perfect for putting together lollipop holders! I love it because I didn't have to use ANY ADHESIVE! Not one bit! It was awesome! They came together very quickly. I used a full-size Charms Blow Pop inside each one.











I used regular white cardstock for the bases. I also used Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant, and Old Olive cardstock and inkpads from Stampin' Up. I used black crochet thread from Red Heart to tie them together. I stamped the back of each one with sayings from the same stamp set.

This was my very first My Favorite Things purchase, and I seriously love it. Cannot wait to use it for Christmas on candy canes! I'm also thinking for the kids at school too, maybe some pencils or even with the Skittles candy sticks?! Ahhh so many ideas running through my mind! I definitely recommend you buy the set together, it only cost $39.95. If you purchase them separately, it would cost $49.90.

Halloween Candy Wrapper Boxes

Okay, this is going to be my last Mr. Bones Halloween Spook Out entry!












I made these little candy boxes with Stampin' Up's candy wrapper die, Papertrey Ink's Happy Haunting Stamp set and matching die, and some Halloween Paper from last year that I found at the Target Dollar Spot. I always make these cute little treat boxes for the kids classes during the holidays. They don't hold a ton of candy, but they are super cute and super easy to put together!

Halloween Wreath

Here is another Halloween project for the Mr. Bones Halloween Spook Out! This is probably my favorite Halloween project that I've made so far! I made a bunch of these last year for Christmas and Halloween. I love the paper rosettes for wreaths, they are so unique and different! There is one wreath here and here that I made last year.









I buy my wicker wreath bases at the Dollar Tree whenever they have them in stock (which isn't often, snag 'em when you see them, they don't last long!). I used the 13" wreath base. I made the paper rosettes by hand (no Cricut or Rosette die.) I used patterned paper I had left over from last Halloween that I found in the Target Dollar spot. I used every image and saying from the Mr. Bones stamp set for this wreath. I also used the medium spider web from the Spider Web Trio die set. I added googly eyes to the little spiders, then adhered everything with my glue gun. I try to make the rosettes ahead of time and have extra on hand because that usually takes the longest.

More Halloween Projects!

Good morning fellow crafters! I am so happy to be going in to work late today, yesterday morning was extremely busy and stressful, I really needed a little "me time". So while the kids are now at school and the hubby is at work, I decided to finish up some Halloween projects that I started when I was waiting for my Papertrey Ink order this month. (By the way, today is Sneak Peek Day 1 of September release at Papertrey Ink, check out Nichole's blog, they are releasing Christmas stamps this month!)


I am entering this project again into the Mr. Bones Halloween Spook Out over on Nichole's blog.

If you've been following me for a while, you may have seen all the Halloween projects here and here that I created in 2010 for my very first craft fair. I did the same craft fair again last year, but was disappointed in the outcome. We are saving up extra money for our Disneyland Vacation in December (I can't wait!) so I decided to do the craft fair one more time. I've been preparing lots of Halloween Cards and Favors over the last few months to make sure this year I have a great variety of things to sell.

So today I am showing you the M&M candy sticks that I am preparing. This is the first time that I have made these for Halloween. I went with a Candy corn theme because that is all I could find of the M&M's so far!











I purchase my 1x8 clear candy bags from Clearbagsrus on Etsy. They provide fast shipping and good prices. These M&M's are white chocolate and are a little bigger than regular M&M candies, but I was able to fit 15 in each bag. I used the candy corn image from Tiny Treats Halloween as well as the Limitless Layers 1¾" circle die collection. These are super easy to put together, and it takes no time at all. I bought 2 bags of candy at Walmart for $2.88 each, and was able to fill up 20 bags.

Right now I am finishing up a Halloween wreath using the Mr. Bones stamp set, I can't wait to show you how it turns out! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

PTI Mr. bones Halloween Spook Out #4

Happy Monday fellow crafters! Guess what I did this morning?! I slept in! And it felt great at the time, but now that I am up I feel like time is going by a little bit faster! Boo :(

Well here is my 4th entry for this weeks' Mr. Bones Halloween Spook Out over at Nichole Heady's blog.











For this little card set, I used the same Stampin' Up Color cardstock as in my previous post, and I used the Spider Web trio die set to slightly "emboss" my white cardstock without actually cutting out the web. This took a little bit of practice, but I finally managed by using just one cutting plate and the Sizzix crease pad for my big shot. Then I added the cute spider from Tremendous Treats Halloween and the sentiment is from Mr. Bones Stamp set. I believe Maile Belles also created a card where she used this technique as well.

That's it, super simple. I think this might be super cute as some Halloween invitations, I might need to whip up a few more! The girls and I are going to go visit my sister and nieces and then we are off to the grocery store. Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

PTI Mr. Bones Halloween Spook Out

Good evening fellow crafters, I hope you are all having a great, wonderful Labor Day weekend! I am thoroughly enjoying the few days off that I have here at home with my family. I am super excited to see all the projects being entered into the Mr. Bones Halloween Spook Out blog hop over at Nichole's blog! I plan on adding several projects over the next few days, mainly because I love Halloween and I am so excited to continue using my new stamp sets from this month's PTI release! Here is my 3rd project for this fun little blog challenge:













I used the Mr. Bones and Tremendous Treats Halloween stamp sets for this little card set. I just love Mr. Bones, he is too adorable! I used some Halloween patterned paper from another All Seasons paper pack, as well as Stampin' Up cardstock in my favorite Halloween colors: Elegant eggplant, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Black. I used the top note die and embossed that with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. I stamped and cut out the Halloween treat bag and then adhered it all together.
