Valentine's Bracelets and Treat Cards

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you are all having a fabulous Valentines Day! I had originally posted this as a challenge entry for Papertrey Ink, but took my entry out because someone noted that I didn't use a Papertrey Ink product, which I guess I wasn't even thinking about at the time :/ Owell, I will still share my projects with you anyways!

I made these using 4mm Swarovski Crystal beads in Light Rose and Crystal, along with a sterling silver "I Love You" charm. I used Crystazzi Pearls in matching colors on both bracelets. I love how these came out, perfect little bracelets for charming little girls! I had originally made these cute little bracelets to add to my Etsy shop, but made extra just for my daughters for Valentines Day.

I also wanted to share with you the Valentines Day cards we made this year. I also sold a TON of these on my Etsy shop. It took a while to assemble these because there are so many parts to them, but once I got the flow of things, I created assembly lines to put them together quickly. Stampin Up had their Heart Treat Cups on clearance last month at $0.59 for a box of 12 heart cups. I ordered 600 treat cups, since they are not making them anymore :( They still have the round treat cups, but I think the heart ones are just a lot cuter! The images are from the Sweetheart Stamp set also from Stampin Up.

I used the Movers and Shapers die set and Stamp set from Papertrey Ink to create the tab, as well as the Tremendous Treats Valentine Set for the "be my Valentine". Each cup holds 12 chocolate M&M's.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great night!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Color Inspiration Challenge

Good evening fellow crafters! I hope you all had a great day! The girls and I came home, they did their homework while I started dinner, and as dinner is cooking, I was able to put together a card for the challenge today over at Papertrey Ink! Today the challenge is to create a project using one of 6 Color Inspiration combos! Matching colors together on any kind of project is usually what I struggle with the most, so I love it when someone comes up with such great color combos!

For my card today, I chose this color combo:

Now, as I do not have any of Papertrey Ink's awesome ink pads yet, I had to match the colors as close as I possibly could using Stampin' Up's Ink pads instead. I chose to use some Ivory cardstock for my card base, then added some White and Kraft cardstock to that. The ink pads that I used are Ruby Red, Regal Rose, River Rock, and Crumb cake.

I

I used Papertrey Ink's Beautiful Butterflies Stamp set, as well as the Fillable Frames Additions #1 stamp set. For the smaller stamped details, I used images from PTI's Happy Harlequin, Framed Out #3 and Framed Out #6. I used Hero Arts Happy Mom's stamp set for the sentiments. Inside of card reads "Thinking of you especially today and wishing you a Happy Mother's Day!". I had seen this card design somewhere on Pinterest, but I cannot for the life of me remember where it is from or who created it. If anybody knows, please let me know so I can give credit where it is needed, it was made using the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set and also had a Mother's Day sentiment. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all have a fantastic night!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Sketch Challenge

Good evening fellow crafters, how was your weekend? I hope everyone had a great one! I unfortunately had to work both Saturday and Sunday, which took away a lot of family time for this week, but I do have Wednesday off so I am definitely looking forward to it! Papertrey Ink is still in the middle of all their Anniversary celebrations, including several contests while still showcasing all the projects the DT has created for this month's release. It looks like they are going to have some awesome new products, I cannot wait until the 15th!

Today the challenge is to create a project using one of the 5 sketches that Nichole has created. I needed to make some 2 Valentine's Day cards for my daughters, one who will be 9 this month on the 17th (man, how time flies by!) and another for my 6 year old. I didn't want to do anything too childish for my almost-9 year old, and I wanted to do something with a lot of color.

I chose this sketch to start my card:

This is the card I created to give to my oldest daughter this year for Valentine's Day:

Using Papertrey Ink's Super Stars Border die collection, I cut out 1 strip each of stars in red, orange, yellow, blue, and green. I used some glue to adhere them to my card the same way as the sketch. I used the Tremendous Treats Valentine stamp set along with the matching dies to cut out and stamp the paper and pencil image. I used my Prismacolor markers in the same colors to color in the images. I wanted the images to stand out against the stars on the front of the card, so I outlined each one with black marker, and adhered them to the card as well. The sentiment is from the Tiny Treats Valentine Stamp set. I used black cardstock for my card base. For the inside of the card, I used the "be my valentine" stamp for the sentiment, and then stamped the little hearts in matching colors.

I have to say I really, really, really love this card! I love all the color with the black card base, I cannot wait to give this one to my daughter! Thanks for stopping by, have a great night!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Contest #3

Hello again, welcome to my 3rd post for tonight! I will make this post short and sweet. I have posted more tonight than I have all year I think!

I've wanted to do a project with black and Kraft cardstock for a really long time now. I thought that trying to focus on just those 2 colors would be difficult, but it really wasn't. I just love the look of the 2 colors together. Again, I used the Year of Flowers Collection stamp set to create this Thank You card set. I used black dye ink to stamp the 4 different flowers. The cards all measure a standard A2 size.

I would like to do this with Kraft cardstock and other colors, so I might make a few more sets tonight before I head off to bed. Thanks again for stopping by, everyone have a safe and wonderful weekend!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Contest Year of Flowers #2

Hello again! This is going to be my 2nd post for tonight, and I wanted to show you another project using Papertrey Ink's Year of Flowers Collection Stamp set! As someone who owns an Etsy Shop, I am always in need of Thank You cards to send out with my orders. It doesn't matter how big or small an order is, I always send out a small Thank you note to let my customers know how much I truly appreciate their business! So I wanted to create a simple Thank You card set that would be super easy and fast to put together.

I made this set of 12 cards tonight in about an hour. They were super simple to put together. Each card is 3½" square and is made with Kraft cardstock. Again, I used several ink colors from Stampin' Up to stamp out all the flowers onto the cards. I used the "Thank You" sentiment from TPC studios' Card Crafting Thank you stamp set, and stamped it in Early Espresso ink. I leave the inside of the card blank so I have more room to write to my customers. I used Dark chocolate and white cardstock in addition to the Kraft.

I've got my youngest daughter in here tonight with me, she is playing around with my stamp pads and some Valentine's Stamps(although she keeps asking me to open and close the ink pads for her, I guess they are pretty difficult for a young one to open!) She has just informed me that I better give her dinner soon otherwise she won't have the energy to make good Valentine's Cards for her friends. So I guess I better get to it. Hoping to get one more project in for tonight, see you soon!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Contest Year of Flowers

Good evening fellow crafters, how are you all doing? I am doing great, again, haven't posted in a while! I've been super busy the last few weeks cranking out a ton of Valentine's Day cards from my Etsy shop. This week was the first week that I've had a break. I was able to come home from work everyday this week without the worry of having to create more cards! I spent some much needed time with my family, and now that I've had enough of that (heehee) I thought I would join in on today's contest over at Papertrey Ink. For this month's release, Nichole and the Design Team are celebrating PTI's 6th year Anniversary! They have so many contests going on right now, it's fantastic! I cannot wait to see all the new products that will be available this month on the 15th!

Today the contest is to create a project using one of PTI's Year of Flowers Stamp sets. When the sets first started coming out, I did not purchase them. However, I was super excited when they released the Year of Flowers Collection stamp set. I loved that I could get all the flower designs in one stamp set, even if the images were a bit smaller. I wanted to create an All Occasion tag set using the stamp set and the Fillable Frames Additions stamp sets. I inked up the frames and sentiments in Black dye ink, and then stamped all the flowers using different Stampin' Up ink colors. I added some white twine to finish them off.

Hopefully I will have a little bit more time tonight to create a few more projects for today's contest. Thanks for stopping by!
