MFT Stamps Christmas Card Sets

Holy. Moly. Has it really been over a year since I last posted in here?! I can't believe I haven't found the time to come back and let you all know what I've been working on!

As I mentioned in my last blog post, I no longer have a craft room. A few months ago I decided that just because I didn't have my own craft room anymore, that didn't mean I had to give up completely! I still posted projects every once in a while, but nothing big, and I mostly did it through Instagram since it is so much easier to post a project then write up an entire blog post! I realize that not everyone has instagram though, so I am hoping to share more on here now that I've got everything set back up! Now that the days are a lot cooler, it is easier to just craft here in the garage, so I've got everything out again and am happy to say that I've spent the last month or so happily crafting again!

Which brings me to what I would like to share today. I ordered the MFT Jingle All the Way and Santas Elves last year but didn't get to use them too often. I brought them out again this year because they are just too darn cute! I made 2 card sets. Each set is exactly the same, and I loved the layout of this card here and decided to give it a try.

I used different sentiments from Hero Arts and Recollections stamp sets. I stamped all the images with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear embossed them, then cut them out with my Brother Scan and Cut. By the way, if you haven't invested in a Brother Scan and Cut yet, IT IS WORTH IT. I cannot tell you how awesome it is to not have to buy the matching, super expensive (and sometimes more expensive than the stamp set itself!) die sets. The machine scans and then cuts out all the images, even the little tiny ones! Super cool and takes no time at all!

I've made lots of others things recently, mostly to put up in my Etsy Shop, so if you're interested to see what else I've been working on, just head over to my Etsy Shop and take a peek!

If you are reading this post right now, I cannot tell you how much it means to me that you've kept me as a follower or are still following me, even though I've been a lousy blog-poster this year! I really hope to post more, thank you so much for visiting!

PTI Anniversary Color and Sketch Recipe #1

Good evening fellow crafters! If this is your 3rd time stopping in today, THANK YOU! I truly appreciate you taking some time to check out my projects, especially since I don't post too often. But who would resist all the great things going on over at Papertrey Ink for their 7th Anniversary?!

While I promised myself this year that I would try to explore the products of other companies, I cannot stress enough how much I love Papertrey Ink! Their products are just amazing, the quality of the stamps is wonderful, I've never had any problems with them! And their Design Team is so amazingly talented, I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us this year!

For the 7th Anniversay, PTI is giving away $300 worth of their products based off of our Wishlist on their website. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! That is a TON of stuff! The challenge going on up until the 15th is to create a project using a Sketch Recipe AND a Color Recipe. This is what I chose for my first card:

Using the Ruby Reprise Stamp set, I created my card using a Kraft cardstock base. I am not a big, big fan of the Fine Linen color, so I snuck that in as a scalloped "border" along the side of my card. For my stripes, I used a stamp from the My Favorite Things Lollipop Additions Love Stamp set. I do not have the matching dies for the Ruby Stamp set, so I hand-cut my flowers and leaves, then adhered them to my card, popping up one of the flowers with dimensionals.

I love this card! Don't you just love Color and Sketch challenges? They take all the hard work out of creating for you, and all you need to do it sit back and create something wonderful! I absolutely love the color combo! Of course Kraft is my all-time FAVORITE go-to when it comes to most of my cards, but adding any type of red ink really makes it stand out.

Can't wait to try another combination, I have a feeling I won't be going to sleep any time soon! Thanks for stopping by, have a great night!

MFT Card Sketch 161

Good evening fellow crafters! How are you all doing? I certainly hope you all have had a great weekend, have had plenty of rest, and are ready to jump-start your way into another week that will surely zoom right past us all! The last few days have been sort of a blur, had a bit of a family emergency to deal with, won't go into detail about it here, but lets just say that God gives us all second chances for a reason, and we should all be grateful for the lives we have and are able to live every day.

Today I wanted to share with you real quick a Valentines Day card I made for the My Favorite Things Cards Sketch #161.

I used a White Cardstock base for my card, and added some Valentine Paper that I've had left over for a few years now. The digi image is from Whimsie Doodles digital images store, isn't she adorable?! They have some of the cutest digital stamps, I just love how easy digital stamps are! I added the wrong shade of gray to her "Cupid" wings, so I tried to tone it down a bit with some glitter. The banner die cut is from Papertrey Ink's Notched Hearts Banner Die collection. The stamped Happy Valentine's Day round sentiment and heart are from My Favorite Things Lollipop Additions: Love stamp set. I only own the Lollipop stamp sets and matching die sets for the Lollipop series through My Favorite Things, but would love to invest in some more of their products soon! I love all the dies they have available!

I need to catch up on some Etsy orders, then get some rest to start my work week. Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you all enjoy the rest of your week!
