The Paper Variety Challenge #51

It has been a really long time since I have participated in the Paper Variety Challenges, I sure am glad that I can contribute to this one! This week the challenge is to use stickers. There have already been so many great entries, here is mine for this week!

I made this wreath using an 18" wreath base from the Dollar Tree. I used 6 different kinds of patterned paper and made 16 different sized paper rosettes. After gluing them with hot glue to the wreath base, I went through my sticker drawer and pulled out everything Halloween! I tried to match the colors as best as I could to the patterned paper, and then hot glued each sticker to a rosette! I also used a few stamped images I had laying around from using the Tiny Treats Halloween set from Papertrey ink. I am having so much fun making all these rosettes for the wreaths. It does take a while, but the end result is so pretty! I cannot wait to get started on Thanksgiving and Christmas wreaths!

So here is the finished wreath, thanks for looking, have a great day!

I'm baccckkkk!

Wowza it's been forever since I've posted on here, how the heck are you all doing?! I'm doing great, just been trying to keep up with work and the hubby and kids going back to school! I've been crafting here and there, just not as much as usual :( But now with the holidays around the corner I've been trying to fit in as many projects as I can! I am going to participate in a craft fair next month so I've been doing a mad dash to get everything together and be ready. One addition to my table this year is wreaths! I've had soooo much fun making these Halloween wreaths, I love the way they are turning out!

I found this 18" wreath base and the cute little witch at a local Dollar Tree. They have sooooo much Halloween merchandise, it's taking a lot of will power not to buy everything, even though it IS all only $1.00 lol. Anywho, I used 6 different 12x12 papers to make the paper rosettes. I scored each sheet at every 1/2 inch, then I cut 2 each of 2.5", 2", and 1.5" strips. I glued the 2 strips together, accordian folded each one, then glued them together with hot glue. I ended up with 18 different rosettes to use on each wreath. I hot glued everything, including the witch. I love the way this turned out. I am still trying to find a way to add "Happy Halloween" to it, but I need to make a trip to Michaels and Hobby Lobby for ideas on what to use.

This is how the wreath looked before I glued on the small Halloween charms.

I plan on making about 15 of these, and the craft fair is October 7th through the 9th. I can't wait to share pictures of the fair once it is over, until then, take care and see you next time!
